Many countries are looking up to China for their own progress and wellbeing. Sometimes ago, people think progress and a simple happier family unit is not easily attainable in their countries. Many countries that have wars or civil wars believe that a country's progress comes about through ideological, religious and political transformation. Now, that thinking has been proven wrong. Peace is the prerequisite for a stable society where people can concentrate on their countries' development and progress. People want a simple life, a roof over their head, jobs, family, and a peaceful society.
China realized the same, after their experiment of industrialization 大跃进, then the cultural revolution 文化大革命, through close door policy and self-help initiative. Finally, these methods were futile and brought China suffering and deterioration. Through it they realized that nothing is more important than having the family unit together, peace and fulfilling the simple necessity of life. Deng Xiao Ping’s Black and White Cat, 黑猫白猫只要会捉老鼠的猫 dictum gave the people a way forward.
The Tiananmen protest indicated the people’s wish to move beyond their state of stasis and regimentation. The people want an answer and they want changes.
Eventually, China opened the doors to foreigners and trade, they learned to work with foreigners, and excel beyond in many areas, economy, technology, and thinking. Yes, thinking, they realized the importance of peace and sharing their know-how with other countries to create a bilateral relationship with their neighbours that benefit both. Enlarging the same ideas, that the earth as a contiguous whole, all races no matter how different they are, is worthy of respect and equal opportunity to have a simple life. They too understood the way forward is to accept diversities and disagreement, while building on the common ground that inclusively benefit all participating parties. This is where they differ from the super-powers that came before them.
They realized too, a clean slate is not the way to go, as by building anew, they had abandoned the 5000 years of wisdom and they should build upon it instead. It is in this wisdom they have progressed and constantly innovate and invent a brand new world. They are discovering the way forward, harmonizing history and tradition with progress and technology. They are determined to share their experience and know how so the world is a better place to live.
The simplicity of living should be the most basic that all people should strive to achieve.
Their new consciousness for China, as they have self-declared is to make earth a better place of the human race. Just love that attitude. It is a huge responsibility. We are looking forward to a better, more connected and happier world to come.
